My rat Oliver died last night. We think he choked to death on something. That's probably the worst way to go. He was such a sweet rat. He would stand up on his back legs and put his little face through the cage bars every time I walked by the cage. He wasn't even a year yet. He had half his ratty life ahead of him.

He's the little gray one.

I've been thinking about volunteering at an animal shelter. I e-mailed TreeHouse animal shelter. I adopted Chewy from there and I really like the place.

I just want to do something good for all those cute little kitties out there.

Speaking of cute kitties, Boomer has to be the cutest cat EVER. Yesterday when I woke up I was trying to pull the covers up and he jumped under them to snuggle me! Then this morning John woke me up by pulling up the covers and Boomer ran under them again to snuggle. He's sooo cute!!!

So after having a bike for about 3 weeks I already got in an accident.

I was riding down Halsted in the bike lane and a big van opened its door right as I was riding by it and I hit it. I flew out into traffic but luckily the people driving behind me stopped. Everyone was really worried about me and asking if I was ok.

I am ok, but right now I am in a lot of pain. I hit the door with my right shoulder/collar bone so you can imagine how that feels. My neck and both arms hurt really bad and I can't lift my arms over my head because it hurts so bad. I am all bruised and scratched up but I'm alive at least.
