This lonesome scrub-brush was found in the old ruins of the Northern State Hospital in Washington state... in the kitchen. It has survived several decades, and still hasn't quite succumbed.

Ugh... I've had a brutal week with food. It started off good and I had even lost some weight at the beginning of the week, but I'm pretty sure I've gained...

I just keep getting into EVERYTHING! It started with a cookie and just snow balled from there :( I went out to the bar last night and that was jam packed full of beer and tequila, awesome for my diet!

ah, oh well... I plan on fixing it tomorrow, I'll start with a long run hopefully that balances it and I'll just put that much more effort into boxing this week and perhaps drop in on a hot yoga class.

I really want to continue with this weight loss thing, I can't let bad eating habits run my life. I need to be able to eat something bad from time to time and not allow myself to fall victim to snow ball eating habits.

What are some fun and delicious foods you can give a skinny old man cat to get him to gain weight? Silver is going to be 15 this fall and while he is still a loud, talkative, semi-active fellow, he is quite thin. He has been switched to wet food exclusively so that we can be sure he can chew it as he was having some issue w/ crunchies. The people @ the pet store suggested we try putting him on kitten food, which he loves! We also tried that NutriCal vitamin/calorie paste but OMG lol he sniffed it and then literally ran away. Any other yummy ideas for fattening up treats for my boy? He loves gushy wet food w/ loads of gravy.

I just recently started having sex with my ex again. We used to have amazing, mind blowing sex, and it still is, but now he doesn't last long at all. Me and my new boy have run into the following problem:
We use condoms and everytime him or me put it on him it rolls back down until only about 5 centimeters (ca. 2 inches?) of his penis are covered. I shopped around the internet for information and this seems to be something that happens when the condoms are too small. 
Have any of you run into this problem before? How did you solve it?

OK. So we are planning on moving in 6 months or so. we have 3 cats. The place we're in now doesn't really care about the state of their claws, as we've been here for 4 years, and no damage has been done (to the apartment. our couch is another story). but when we're looking at another apartment, I'm concerned about restrictions on claws. I refuse to declaw my cats, but as a show of good intentions, I'd like to put SoftPaws on them before we move. this is where the difficulty comes in...

Dargle is no problem at all. he's a sweet little lump who will let us do anything.
Bug is a little more difficult, but she's compliant enough that we can get it done in 1 or 2 sessions.
Beatnik is the problem. He is about 15 pounds of solid muscle, and panics whenever he's restrained (I blame a bad bout of kittenhood giardia, which necessitated being held down and given flagyl twice a day for nearly a month) Our last visit to the vet (after he spent 10 minutes panicking at being put into the carrier) he had to be given tapeworm medication, and even the doctor was too afraid of being injured to give it in pill form.

he's a very sweet cat, it's only being restrained that sets him off. so given that, how the hell do I get him to let me not only trim his claws (which is currently a one-toe-at-a-time thing) but glue the claw caps on? and as we'll be getting a new sofa with the move, I'd also like to do it long-term, which means that I want it to be as little traumatic as possible, so he'll let us KEEP putting them on.

Does anyone have any experience with ringworm? I volunteer at a rescue kennel and today we found out a lot of the new dogs have it, or have been exposed to it. I came home and showered, immediately washed my clothes, etc. I don't want to get it or pass it to my cat (I assume it can transfer that way but idk), is there anything else I can do?

1) I'm not sure how many of you guys are like this or how many of you have experienced this, but here we go.

My cat Seyhi was apparently due for her FIP vaccine, I received a notice from my previous vet, Banfield. So I scheduled an appointment with my new vet, but he said they haven't given FIP vaccinations in years. I was confused, so I asked why, and he said it's not asked for often, and he's never seen a case. (He also mentioned Banfield is in it for the money and while I do agree to a certain extent, I also like to have important vaccines administered).

This worries me, because I know FIP is a terrible disease and I feel awkward not having my cat protected. She was never around other cats, but just last year I ended up taking in a feral mom and her kittens, and I was thankful that they were all negative for FIP. I don't anticipate a situation like that happening again, but you never know.

I asked my mom about her two cats, and she doesn't think they are vaccinated either.

Any thoughts? Is the FIP vaccine important?

Hi all, this is an empty journal in order to keep my privacy, since asking about sex embarrasses me a bit. I has been in my first relationship for some time and my SO finds PIV very painful- we've been trying lube and didn't help much, if at all.It is her first relationship as well, ( for possible triggers ). My boyfriend has a cat, Domino, and she is the epitome of a cat. This is important because we cannot give this feline a bath. I admire her queen-status but he tried giving her a bath years ago and she tore a whole chunk of his skin out with her claws and this prevents us from giving her flea baths.

She's also what our vet calls, a street gal. My boyfriend and his dad made the mistake of getting dogs after getting Domino and now she won't come into the house unless she meows for one of us to carry her into our room. She's pretty much an outdoor cat, which I disagree with but it's not exactly my pet.

We baby powdered the entire room and I made sure she wasn't in here until hours later because I read that it's bad for their respiratory system. She got a flea medication on her skin a few weeks ago but she's still bringing in fleas. I love this cat to death because she recognizes me as her owner now as well but I can't tolerate tearing off my skin anymore not to mention I'm disgusted at the fact that I've been sleeping with fleas. We can't really see her as an indoor cat and I'm not happy if I have to ban her from our room either.

What can I do about this? Bundle up her claws and force bathe her? I try to keep fleas off her with recommended "natural and safe" treatments along with flea shots from the vet, but nothing's working.

This is really confusing for me to explain.
My boyfriend enjoys visuals of what he describes as 'women getting hurt'. He watched 'Red Dragon' not long ago and the violence made him smile.
